New to the audio world for cars, what would be a good bass kicking system thats cheap and effective?

I have an F-150 2003 lariat, the subs go under the backseats and the amp under the passenger right? or is one sub good to start off? also if i changed vehicles could i take the subs and amp out and reuse them in the new vehicle?
